Step 1

Accept Your Invitation

Teams that qualify at their Affiliate Tournament are guaranteed a spot at Global Finals. Team Managers of qualified teams will receive an invitation to register for Global Finals via email within 36 hours of their Affiliate Tournament, directing them to accept or decline their invitation to Global Finals via DI’s registration site.

Team Managers of teams invited from the Waitlist may begin receiving invitations to register starting in mid-March; however, teams will not be invited until their particular Affiliate Tournament has taken place.

Please accept or decline as soon as possible, as this is very helpful and gives us an idea of how many teams will attend and how many volunteer Appraisers we will need for the tournament.

Step 2

Pay the Deposit by April 19
(deadline extended from April 17)

  • Team Managers or Team Coordinators pay a $2,000 deposit.
  • This deposit is due by April 19, 2024, 11:59 p.m. EST. This deadline has been extended from April 17.
  • All checks should be made to:

Step 3

Input Contact Information

Team Managers or Team Coordinators need to login and input contact information for all attendees (team members, Team Managers and parent/guardians/spectators) who plan to attend Global Finals. When attendees are registered, links to consent forms are emailed automatically (see Step 4).

The deadline to register names of all Global Finals attendees is April 19, 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time (ET). Please note that any additional attendees who register after April 19 will need to register on-site with a valid ID and Team Number. (A processing fee of $25 per person will be assessed for anyone applying for credentials on-site.)

Step 4

Complete Forms

All attendees and parents/guardians of attendees under 18 years old must complete their forms through Docusign. Forms must be completed prior to on-site registration to receive a credential. Team Managers/Coordinators will send out links to these forms directly from the registration system.

Forms Checklist:

  • Parental Consent, Medical Release, & Photo Release Form: 1 for each attendee who will be under the age of 18 on April 17, 2024
  • General Consent & Photo Release Form: 1 for each attendee who will be over the age of 18 on April 17, 2024
  • On-Site Event Contact Form: 1 per team

Registration Deadline

April 19, 2024
(extended from April 17)

Friday, April 19, 2024 is the deadline for Global Finals event registration, including online registration and credential signups.

All team registrations must be completed by this date. A registration is complete when:

  • The registration deposit of $2,000 or more has been paid.*
  • All attendees have been added to the team registration in the Resource Area.
  • All attendees’ Docusign consent and contact forms are completed.

*A balance is permitted to be carried to the event, but teams that pay their registration in full by April 19 will be eligible for express registration on-site.


Invited teams may book rooms within Destination Imagination’s hotel block between March 4 and May 1.

Change Policy

Changes can be made to team registrations until April 19, 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time.

Cancellation Policy

 

If a team accepts their invitation and pays their deposit to reserve their spot, but then decides not to attend, they will be considered CANCELED.

 

Canceling On or Before April 19, 2024

If the team cancels on or before April 19, 11:59 p.m. ET, Destination Imagination will refund 50% of the $2,000 deposit or $1,000. These refunds will be processed 6 to 8 weeks after the event. Cancellation fees are not transferable.

Canceling After April 19, 2024

Starting April 20, no refunds will be issued for canceled teams. If the entire deposit is not paid by April 19, 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time, the team will automatically be canceled.

Destination Imagination, Inc., will not refund any amounts paid to attend Global Finals 2024 for any reason, including exclusion from the event for failure to follow protocols. Destination Imagination, Inc., will not reimburse any expenses incurred by any attendee relating to COVID-19 testing, isolation or quarantining.

Refunds may be granted due to extraordinary hardships and at the discretion of the CEO.

Attendee Credentials After April 19, 2024

Attendee changes/additions cannot be made online after April 19. Additional attendee credentials not entered through online registration by April 19, will be processed on-site at Team Registration when the team arrives.  There will be a $25 processing fee per credential and proper forms and identification will be required for each new attendee. To avoid significant wait times on site and additional fees, please have all attendees registered by April 19.
